I recall a friend of mine telling me years ago ( I’m confident that he wasn’t bullshitting me) that he was walking through Port Sunlight , Wirral around this late 1960s period and a car pulled over and inside was John and Yoko, he didn’t mention any children. The driver was Lennon and he wanted directions to Hulme Hall, which is in Port Sunlight village. Hulme Hall was the first place that Ringo officially played with The Beatles in 1962. He gave John directions and off he went. Just to add, that he wasn’t a big Beatles’ fan and the date and type of car he was driving seemed to fit with this 1969 trip. I take it that John was showing Yoko one of the venues that The Beatles performed at in the early days. I don’t know if Lennon visited Liverpool during this 1969 trip, but he had relatives in Rock Ferry( 5 minutes from Port Sunlight) and l know he did used to visit them. He also used to stay at Paul’s father’s house in Gayton , Wirral, but this was usually when he had Paul with him. I might well be wrong, but the last visit of John to Liverpool that you mentioned might actually be to his relatives house in Rock Ferry? Some Beatles’ expert out there will probably know😀

Last time in Liverpool? RUBBISH ! saw John and Yoko in 75 walking along High Street in Woolton Village South Liverpool his old stomping ground after been the Baths with the lads, it was AUGUST on a very warm day, just nodded and said alright, John just nodded and had a smile on his face, in no rush both of them if I remember right, don't forget everyone had long hair back then so he didn't really stand out.

They only spent June 22 - 23 at the Corbett Arms Hotel in Tywyn, before continuing on to Liverpool.
